Final exams information
There will not be a tutoring bus during the week of finals.

- *SENIOR Finals: May 17th – 22th: Seniors take their 5th, 6th, and 7th period final exams during their regular classes on May 17th and 20th. Teachers will need to adjust project presentations accordingly.

Final Report Cards and Transcripts
Final report cards will be posted in HAC on May 30 at 5pm. Transcripts will be available in HAC on June 14.

Summer Registration
- Please be on the lookout during mid-June for SNAP Codes sent out by PowerSchool Enrollment to register students for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Proof of Residency (POR)s must be dated after June 1, 2024

- If you move over the summer, please contact [email protected] or call 469-302-5714 to notify us of your new address.
- If you are moving out of our attendance zone, you may turn in laptops and other items from 8 am – Noon and 1pm -3pm Mon. – Thurs during the summer.
- UIL PORs are submitted via Rank1 Sports and ARE NOT the same as the enrollment school registration. Students involved in UIL activities such as band and athletics MUST provide PORs in Rank and PowerSchool.
Attention rising sophomores:
The McKinney Rotary Club is accepting applications from current freshmen/rising sophomores for the upcoming school year for the McKinney Youth Leadership Program. Senior Information:
Graduation will be here before you know it. We don’t want the seniors to miss any of the fun and important events that are scheduled the week!
If you haven’t already, take the cap and gown out of the package and hang it up. This will allow the creases from shipping time to fall out. You can also hang it up in the bathroom to get the steam to help with this while the shower is running. Jostens will be at graduation with any last minute needs.
Senior Elementary Breakfast is Monday, May 20 at 7:30am. Seniors will sign in at the front office of their MISD Elementary school. Seniors will also need to enter MHS front office when they return and sign in with their Name, ID Number and what elementary breakfast they attended so we can code their attendance.
Tuesday, May 21 is Senior Sunset on the MHS Softball fields from 7-9pm. Wear college shirts. No food or drinks allowed on the field but can be consumed in the stands.
Thursday, May 23, Seniors will be treated to a catered breakfast by the PTO at 7:45am followed by mandatory Graduation Practice in the Aux Gym. Tickets will be given to seniors after practice.
Friday, May 24 is GRADUATION DAY!! Seniors will report to the Credit Union of Texas Event Center dressed in their graduation clothes and their cap and gown at 11:30am. Be sure to bring your MISD cords that were earned from MHS. Only cords and stoles provided by MHS/MISD may be worn to graduation. Cap decorations must be approved and follow the criteria on the approval form. Doors open for guests at 12pm and the ceremony starts promptly at 1pm. The event center has a clear bag policy. PROJECT GRADUATION is Friday night at the MISD Stadium from 10pm-5am. Grads must stay the entire time to win prizes.

Thank you to everyone, including our fabulous PTO, that made our teachers feel appreciated this week. We are nearing the end of the school year so here are some end-of-year activities and reminders:
Yearbook Pick-up
May 15-17 in the cafeteria during all lunches. Students will need their school ID to pick up their yearbook. Customized books will be delivered to 3rd period classes.
Final Exam Exemptions for Seniors- Teachers will be discussing exemptions with seniors in class next week. One important fact is attendance counts up to and including the final exam. If a senior already has 5 absences and is exempt, the student must go to class on exam day or will no longer be exempt and will receive a “0” on the exam.
Senior Updates
Prom is tomorrow, Saturday, May 11 at the Cotton Mill in McKinney. TIckets will be $70 at the door. No guests tickets will be sold at the door and all guests must be previously approved. Everyone, MHS students and guests will need to bring their ID to enter.
Laptop Purchase or Return will take place Tuesday, May 14 during English classes. If you would like to purchase your student MacBook, the fees are on HAC and can be paid with a credit card online through payschoolscentral.com or with cash or check on Tuesday. If you are not purchasing your student MacBook, don’t forget to bring the charger on Tuesday!
Baccalaureate is Tuesday, May 14 at 6-7:30pm at First United Methodist Church McKinney
Senior Breakfast at Elementary Schools is May 20 @ 7:30am. Students need to sign in at their elementary school and in the MHS front office when they return.

Please wish our UIL Current Events team luck as they head to Austin this Wednesday to compete for the state championship!
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We will have a small celebration for our teachers each day next week, and we are sure they would love to hear kind words from our students and families, too. Any kind emails, cards, or other words of encouragement would be wonderful.
Final Exams
Final exams will not be given early. Students that miss exams will be given a zero until the exam is made-up.
Senior Updates
Prom is next weekend at the Cotton Mill from 7-11pm. Tickets will be sold for $65 next week and $70 at the door. Guest forms are due in C101 with a copy of the guest ID by 10:15am on May 8.
If you would like to purchase your MacBook, fees will be loaded in HAC. Payments can be made by credit card on payschoolscentral.com or in the front office with Mrs. Erger by check or cash. MacBooks will need to be turned in or purchased by May 14.
