Volunteers

We LOVE volunteers!!  Anyone wanting to volunteer on an MISD campus, or at an off-campus event such as a field trip, MUST be approved by the district through a background check. 

• Volunteer approvals are good for ONE school year.  All approvals expire at the end of the school year.
• Fill out the volunteer application EVERY YEAR,  after July 15. 
• We recommend that you fill out the application early!  Approvals can take up to 2 weeks, depending on how many applications are submitted at the time.  Trying to get approved right before a field trip can result in not getting approved in time, and missing out.
• All visitors and volunteers must bring their current, unexpired, physical license to enter the building for any reason.
