For the safety and security of all MISD students and staff you are required to show government issued identification (driver’s license, identification card, passport etc.) upon entering the campus or accessing student information.


In the event your student forgets an item you are welcome to leave it on the shelf in the front office, please make certain it is visibly and clearly labeled. MHS is not responsible for any items left on the shelf and all food items will be disposed of at 3 pm. The front office staff does not make phone calls or deliveries to students for items left for pick up.


We are happy to call your students to the front office to be checked out once you are in the office, but we do not call students in advance. This will keep our students in the classroom as long as possible. If your student is in a Fine Arts class or Athletics please allow for additional time when picking up. We will need to see government issued identification every time you are on campus. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.


We will NOT call a classroom for dismissal after 2:10 in order to minimize disruption at the end of the school day. If you need your student for an after school appointment, please arrive in plenty of time to meet this deadline. We appreciate your understanding.


The parent must email their House Secretary or send a note with the student before a student driver can be released. The student code of conduct requests a 2 hour window for parents to send an email to the house secretary for school day releases. If a note is sent with a student, the student is responsible for taking it to their corresponding House Office to get a pass to be dismissed from class. It is a MUST that the student brings their checkout pass to the front office and be signed out by the receptionists. The pass will be stamped and given to the student to show the parking lot attendant. A student is never allowed to just leave campus before checkout out in the office.
