The Student Council (StuCo) is the Student Government Association for MHS and is open to any MHS student anytime. The council hosts open meetings providing an opportunity for students of all grades to maintain communication among peers, faculty and administration. It provides a direct student voice to the administration and is made up of an Executive Council, Committees, and students from all grade levels.
Student Council strives to provide means for students to actively participate in school and community happenings. Activities include, but are not limited to, fund-raisers, community service events and social activities such as but not limited to Homecoming, teacher appreciation, MORP and the senior Prom.
The Student Government Leadership Class focuses on leadership training through practical experiences. Students utilize the class time to plan, organize, and coordinate Student Government, school, and community activities such as freshman orientation, homecoming, DASH (Drug Alcohol Safety and Health), MORP and much more.
Student Council also provides the recognition of completion and documentation of Green Cord volunteer service. There are forms and an area to turn in documented Green Cord hours in the MHS library.
