Communities In Schools manager, Mrs. Madera, promoted “Earth Day 2019” at Burks Elementary by working with KG and 1^st grade teachers and students on a research project about “Endangered Animals”, which is the international focus topic for Earth Day. The participating students are doing a fantastic job, and they entered on a drawing to win tickets for the Dallas Zoo this summer. The winners are: Issac Guerrero, Damien Chavez, Noemy Rivera, Nicole Caballero, Victoria Mata and Jocelyn Damian-Nuñez. Also, all grade levels received a flyer with important information on April 22 about Earth Day.
