McClure Elementary is honored to announce that we have been promoted from a Healthy Zone School in training to a Healthy Zone School. The purpose of the Healthy Zone School Recognition program is to honor schools for their healthy practices and assist schools that wish to create a healthier environment for their students and staff. Parents play a crucial role in promoting healthy lifestyles, so we encourage you to support this program and promote physical activity and healthy eating habits at home. Thank you for your support.

Our school has worked hard to create an environment that focuses not only on the academics but also the health and wellness of our students and staff.  McClure will continue to encourage the following:
·         Encourage students to pack a healthy snack/lunch and a water bottle.
·         Staff model eating healthy snacks/water
·         Promote exercise (brain breaks and jammin minutes) in the classroom
·         Promote the Fun Run, Crape Myrtle run and any other fitness activities throughout the year.
