We are super excited to announce that next week is our 2023 Homecoming Week! We will celebrate the theme of Under the Sea. Below you will find everything you need to know about all of the events.
THEMED DRESS UP DAYS
Each day our students can have fun dressing up according to the theme of the day! Here are all of the individual days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Just a reminder that we do need to stay in dress code and no bathing suits can be worn. We hope everyone will join in the fun and spirit of being a Bronco!
BRONCOFEST AND COMMUNITY PEP RALLY
On Wednesday, September 13th, we will have our annual Broncofest and Community Pep Rally! The carnival will start out by our athletic fields in the East parking lot at 6:00PM and the community pep rally will start at 8:00PM on our main athletic field. Here is more information: Broncofest 2023.
HOMECOMING PEP RALLY
On Friday, September 15th, we will have our homecoming pep rally during the school day! If you are wanting to attend the pep rally to watch your child perform or to be recognized and you have checked into an MISD school using our Hall Pass system in the past, please fill out the following Google form: https://forms.gle/fjpLr3iuVz12fyHw9. Please see my email that was sent for our last pep rally with all of the details on this new process that we are using. We will be starting a little earlier because of the homecoming events. The band will come down the hallway at 1:30PM and we will begin the pep rally at 1:45PM. We will begin check in at 12:45PM on the North end. In order to give us time to print all of the badges for our pre approved guests, please sign up by 5:00PM on 9/14. You can still check in on 9/15, but you will not be pre approved and you will have to stand in line for your credentials to be checked. Just a reminder that we will be on an adjusted schedule that day.
HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME
On Friday, September 15th at 7:00PM we will have our homecoming football game against Allen HS! We will recognize our homecoming court nominees and crown our winners. Please CLICK HERE to purchase tickets for the football game. Come be a part of our Red Nation and cheer our team onto victory! Please plan to stay after the game to watch our amazing Bronco Band perform their 2023 Marching Show! Come cheer on the band with all of our other Broncos as they prepare for their contest season. You will not be disappointed as they are AWESOME!
HOMECOMING DANCE
Tickets: Tickets for the dance will go on sale on Monday, September 11th during all lunches. Sales will continue all week. Please make sure that all fines and fees have been paid in order to buy a ticket. This includes MacBook fees, art fees, lost ID fees, etc. Please check in HAC for fees that are owed and a link to pay online. If you would like to pay in person, you can send a check or cash with your child and our bookkeeper will gladly credit your account and write a receipt.
Dance: The Homecoming dance will be on Saturday, September 16th from 8PM-11PM at the school. Here is a great FAQ page that our student council put together: HOCO FAQ’s. This page will talk about price, dress, etc. If your child would like to bring a date that does not attend MBHS, please click on the following link for more information: Non Boyd Date Form. Please pay attention to the deadlines as we cannot accept late forms. Unfortunately, we have had to turn away Non Boyd dates from the dance because they did not complete the paperwork or complete it on time. Don’t be that person!
We are very thankful for our Bronco Student Council for all of their hard work in planning all of the details of homecoming week. We also appreciate all of the groups and organizations that participate throughout the week to hype up that Bronco Spirit! It is definitely a week full of fun and excitement. Go Broncos!
