A Few Summer Updates

Hi Broncos,

I hope that everyone is enjoying their first couple weeks of summer vacation!  I told you in the last communication that it was my last one for the year, but there have been a few things that have come up and a few reminders now that we are into summer vacation.  I promise I will keep it short!

1. Final GPA/Rank for grades 9-11 will be published in HAC by 5:00 p.m. on June 12th.  You will go to the Transcript view in order to see this information.

2. End of year Report Cards will be viewable in HAC until June 22nd.  After that date, the district will roll our files and report cards will no longer be able to be viewed in HAC.

3. If your student needs transcripts sent anywhere this summer,  please click on this link for more information: https://schools.mckinneyisd.net/mbhs/transcripts/.  Class of 2023 will be considered seniors until June 22nd when files roll.  On June 23rd, they will be considered graduates and will follow that process.

4. Our summer hours are Monday-Thursday from 9-11 and 1-3. Our offices will be closed for vacation June 30-July 9. Due to reconstruction of our front entry way, we will only be answering phones from June 26-29 and July 10-13 during our summer hours.  We will not be able to receive visitors to this front area during these times due to this area being a construction site. 

5. If you will be returning to an MISD school in the fall, please be on the lookout in your email for your Snapcode registration information. You will be able to update your child’s registration for the 2023-2024 school year and upload your proof of residency.  Just a reminder that this information must be completed in order to receive your child’s class schedule on August 4th and not on the first day of school.

6. If you are moving and not returning to MBHS in the fall, please click on the following link to start your withdrawal process: https://schools.mckinneyisd.net/mbhs/registration-withdrawal/.  Before we can complete the withdrawal process all Macbook, textbooks and fines and fees must be turned in and/or paid.

7.  If you need a VOE in order for your child to obtain their driver’s license (I will say a little prayer for all of you parents with a new driver!), please email Christy Howley and Rebecca Troutt.  Their email addresses are [email protected] and [email protected].  Please allow 48 hours during the business week for these requests to be completed.

8.  Just a reminder that our counseling team is now on vacation for the summer.  They will not return until July 17th and they will be involved in new student registration during the entirety of that week.  They will be available to our Boyd community starting on July 24th. As we get closer to time, we will send out a communication with their back to school hours.

9. While our admin team does work all summer, many do take vacations throughout the summer and will be not available through phone or email.  If you need something that is urgent and cannot wait until they return, please reach out to our front desk during our summer hours and we will gladly try to help you.

10. MISD has notified all of the parents through email if their child failed the STAAR EOC test and they need to retake any of the tests this summer. Unfortunately the state will not be giving us the files of the remaining scores to be uploaded where parents can view until June 28th.
