Student Laptops

Hello, Malvern Red Hawks!  This is your Principal, Mrs. Gilliam, with some important information about technology. 
 
Any student entering Kindergarten through 2nd Grade who received a district-issued laptop during the school closure this past spring — and still has it at home — can continue to use that laptop during the at-home learning when school begins.  Parents of Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will be receiving information from McKinney ISD in the coming days about access to devices for at-home learning. 

The following message is for parents of Third through Fifth Grade Students:
 
As part of McKinney ISD’s One-to-the-World technology initiative, all 3rd – 5th grade students will be assigned his/her own 13” MacBook. 
Malvern will be distributing laptops to our 3rd – 5th grade students on August 11th and 12th.  Here is what you need to know to receive a laptop:
 
Distribution will be via drive-through only in the front of the school.
Please wear a mask and remain in your vehicle.

Dates/Times:
 Tuesday, August 11th – 12:00pm until 6:00pm
Wednesday, August 12th –  7:30am until 10:30am.  
 
Credentials:
Student ID Number
Parents or adults picking u the laptop must show a Photo ID of Parent/Adult Picking Up the Laptop

If your student received a laptop from MISD to use during the closure last spring, please return that laptop when you pick up the new MacBook.  We will also be accepting library books at this time.
