MISD is delighted to announce that Felipe Torres has has been chosen to serve as an assistant principal at McKinney High School! Torres brings 13 years of experience in education to his new position. He began his career in MISD as a teacher and coach at McKinney Boyd High School, where he taught World Geography, served as a team lead and coached football, basketball and track. In addition, Torres taught social studies at the McKinney Learning Center and served as a district curriculum writer. He returns to MISD after serving in Lewisville ISD and Frisco ISD, where he moved into campus administration as an assistant principal. Torres earned his bachelor's degree in history from Texas Tech University and his masters’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. “I’m really excited to be back at MISD, and I’m proud to be a part of Lion Nation,” said Torres.
