About

As McGowen's Media Resource Specialist,  I help build literacy and love of literature and digitals tools.  Learners of all ages spend time in our school's Learning Commons interacting with information and discovering how digital tools can optimize learning.  Working with teachers and students every day is a dream come true!

I attended college at Stephen F. Austin where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Education.  I taught Kindergarten and Fifth Grade before becoming a School Librarian.  McKinney has been my home for over twenty years.  I have adored raising my two teenage boys in this community.  It makes me proud to be a small part of the amazing McGowen family!
