Programs & Awards

McClure serves all elementary grade levels from kindergarten through fifth grade. We currently house approximately 700 students. With children, education, and excellence as our focus, we see to empower all students to dream, discover, and develop their potential as lifelong learners and leaders. We use purposeful experiences and community partnerships that engage the heart, head, and hands and in doing so we have succeeded in showing the students that one person can make an enormous impact in the school and in the community.

Student Involvement
Extracurricular activities allow students to become involved in specific areas of interest and to apply what they are learning in school to this activity. Student involvement in these programs helps develop well-rounded students while building self-esteem and self-discipline. They will carry these skills with them long after graduation as they transition into higher education and career pursuits.

Healthy Zone School Alumni

McClure Elementary is one of only a few chosen schools to be distinguished as a Healthy Zone School Alumni member.   McClure has been a proud recipient of the Healthy Zone School awards program from 2012-2015.  This award is part of a 3 year program by Cooper Institute and partnered with the United Way.  The award recognizes schools that lead the way in the mission to fight childhood obesity and promote an active, healthy lifestyle among students.  McClure Elementary is proud of our efforts to go above and beyond in promoting health and wellness with our community, staff and students.
