We are proud to share some great news regarding students in our TAFE, Texas Association of Future Educators, Organization.
The week before spring break, Mrs. Jana Tinsley and Mrs. Tiffany McBrayer took 20 students to the State Competition in Round Rock at the Kalahari Resort.
Boyd had 5 girls, 2 groups and 1 single competitor advanced to the National Competition for TAFE which will be held in Florida in June!
- Senior Maeve Radley for her Children’s Book
- Juniors Shilah Walker and Maddie Rogers for their Teacher Created Materials
- Juniors Abbey Rigney and Melanie Cates for their Teacher Created Materials
We had 3 groups receive either a Gold or Silver Award and another group get best out of Top 5.
- Gold Award for work on their Bulletin Board Activity: Brooklyn and Brealyn Bunch
- Silver Award for work on their Bulletin Board Activity: Belle Kostial and Anaya Samedy
- Silver Award for work on their Teacher Created Materials: Jayden Villalobos Pena and Gaby Wisetsarakool
- Top 5 for their Professional Development Presentation: Emerson Simmons, Karsyn Riesch, and Sarah Russell
We also had 4 seniors sign their letter of intent for the Educational Field.
