Like many other things in 2020, our annual distribution of Thanksgiving meals to Malvern families was almost cancelled. Due to COVID, there was a greater need in McKinney than usual and because of this we learned our donor would be unable to help us this Thanksgiving. Thanks to generous support from our neighbors and community partners, we were still able to organize and distribute 40 bags with Thanksgiving meals to our Malvern families!

Our goal this year was to fill a bag with the basic sides for a Thanksgiving meal; stuffing, cornbread, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, pie crust, and so much more (image 1). We also hoped to include a $10 gift card to Albertsons for each family to purchase their own turkey, ham, or other essentials. We had high hopes and they were definitely exceeded by our generous community!
