High School Credit Classes

EARNING HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT

MISD students have the option of accelerating their course work by taking an additional course, for high school credit, online during the Summer of 2022. Courses are provided by Apex Learning and Canvas and taught by MISD teachers. There are no course meeting times, and classes can be accessed 24/7 for the duration of the term in a self paced format. Online classes are available to students in grades 8-12.

Courses begin June 1 and must be complete by the end of the day on June 29. The fee for each class is $110 ( students who have free or reduced lunch or are in AVID have a reduced fee of $50.) Courses available to 8th graders upon counselor approval are Psychology, Sociology, Health, Foundations of Personal Fitness, Fitness for Life, Art 1 Semester 1 and 2, and Professional Communications. The deadline for early-bird registration is April 29 at 2 p.m.

If you would like to have your student sign up for one of these credit-advancement classes please email Christina Kiefer at [email protected]
