My name is Jenny Simmons and I am beyond excited to continue to be part of our Bennett Bear family! I grew up in the Austin area.  After high school, I ventured out to West Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University… go Red Raiders! My husband and I live here in McKinney. We have four amazing children (two of which are Bennett Bears), two dogs and three cats! I taught Kindergarten for two years and have been teaching first grade ever since. I absolutely love first grade!  I taught in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Allen ISD for twelve years before coming to Bennett in 2017. Teaching children has always been a true passion of mine! Seeing the joy and excitement on their faces when they first accomplish something fills my heart with happiness! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching football (especially the Cowboys and Red Raiders!), shopping, going to movies and out to eat, camping, running, and being outside in the sun! I am so excited about this year! I feel one of the most important ingredients for a good education is parent-teacher communication. Please feel free to ask any questions and express any concerns or ideas that you may have regarding your child. If we work as a team, the results will be incredible!
