Tillson came to MISD in 2021 to join the staff at Finch Elementary as an instructional coach. In her new role, Tillson supported teachers and staff with instructional practices, lesson planning and engaging learning activities. She developed data-based instruction to meet the specific needs of the learners at Finch, and she has served as a presenter at NWEA regional conferences to help other schools in their understanding and use of the data process to target instruction. During the 2022 summer, Tillson served as the elementary summer school assistant principal at Faubion Middle School. “I am excited and honored to begin the next step in my McKinney ISD journey at Bennett Elementary. I look forward to building relationships with students, families and staff at my new school, and I can’t wait to learn and grow together!”
